Today’s patient is willing to pay more for services from practices that do their bit for society. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) influences buying behaviour.
Practices can express CSR through:
- Charitable donations
- Investing in their staff
- Protecting the environment
- Community projects
- Diverse hiring practices
- Supporting companies with CSR values
Why is CSR good for practices?
Firstly, it’s good to be good for its own sake, and not just for commercial advantage.
However, patients want to be aligned with practices that share their values. Castleknock Orthodontics & Dentistry wanted to demonstrate its sense of CSR, reinforce its position in the community and simply ‘give something back’.
We worked together to identify projects that would allow the practice to demonstrate its deep-rooted sense of community and reach out to potential future clients. The local tennis club was identified as the ideal partner.
Through sponsoring several events over a sustained period, the practice has shown its values, raised its profile in the community and there has been a direct increase in patient numbers. Not to mention, happier local children, staff and patients.
