We follow some simple principles when designing a new website for a practice.

1. Purpose

The patient comes first. What does the patient want? Information, entertainment, some type of interaction, or to transact with your practice? Each web page must have a clear purpose, and fulfil a specific need.

2. Information

Patients want information quickly, so it is important to communicate clearly, and in a way that makes complex clinical ideas easy to understand.

3. Typefaces

We always use a clear type, such as Sans Serif, Arial or Verdana. Font size 16 is idea for reading, and we suggest no more than 3 font sizes across the site.

4. Colours & feelings

Colours can express many feelings and enhance the user experience. Complementary colours emote balance, harmony and calmness. Contrasting colours can make reading easier. Vibrant colours should be reserved for Calls To Action. Lastly, white space can give your website a modern and uncluttered look.

5. Images

A picture can speak a thousand words. We always suggest using original images of your practice and staff, veering away from stock images.

6. Navigation

Simple navigation is fundamental to a website. Complex menus and submenus are a leading reason for patients abandoning a website.

7. Layout

Using a simple layout gives any website a neat, well thought out and better-balanced look.

8. Google friendly

Google has a number of design principles that impact on SEO/SERP. WE follow these to a T, ensuring that your website is not penalised by Google.

10: Mobile

Many patients now use their mobile phones to search online. We ensure that all our website are mobile/tablet friendly. Some clinics may even decide to have a custom mobile site.
